Construction is now in the 13th week of 95 at the North Carolina Aquariums’ Jennette’s Pier.
- Steel pilings continue to be driven into the shallow waters near shore by Misner Marine for the temporary trestle; the round steel pilings are being spliced on site before being driven. Pilings in this area are driven to a depth of 40 feet.
- The south trestle has reached the mean low tide water line and is approximately 14 sections long. Work on section 15 has commenced.
- Work continues on both the center trestle and south steel trestle.
- The slab for the wastewater treatment building was poured, beginning at 7:30 a.m. and continued until noon on Thursday, July 30th.
- Fair weather continues to be a positive factor, with no days being lost due to weather-related issues.
These photos are presented for review and represent the work completed as of August 5, 2009.
