The Visitor Services Team is looking for you.
This is a posting for part time 11 month cashier positions. Positions will work up to 40 hours per week for 11 months at a time. Cashiers that are successfully working at the end of the 11 month position will be eligible to begin another 11 month term following 31 days break in service. Position includes work on weekends and holidays. Hours are 8:30 am – 4:30 pm. Recommended candidates will be subject to a background check.

The Aquarium is located on the Outer Banks, three miles north of Manteo, NC.
Description of Work:
Looking for something unique? The Aquarium may be the place for you. Our Visitor Services Team provides exceptional service to the visiting public in the unique environment of Aquariums and exhibits featuring fish, alligators, sharks, otters and many more. Cashiers sell tickets using the CounterPoint POS system. They register guests for a variety of exciting programs including behind the scenes tours, animal enrichment programs, kayaking and more using the Outbound Reservations System. Cashiers are an integral part of the Aquarium's mission and support these efforts through membership sales, animal adoptions and the collection of conservation donations.
The Aquarium is open daily from 9-5, so weekends, weekdays, and holidays are required. Occasional fun evening events will also be required.
Basic computer skills, customer service skills and demonstration of ability to handle cash transactions will be essential for the successful candidate.
Training, Experience and Job Requirements:
