The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher is coloring outside prehistoric lines and giving one person a chance to put their twist on a toothy new exhibit.Animatronic dinosaurs invade the Aquarium's outdoor garden this spring. 

The life-size beasts will roar, spit and wow visitors through September 2016. One of the dynamic reptiles, a fearsome baryonyx, will flaunt one-of-a-kind markings created by the winner of an open coloring contest.

Love dinosaurs or fancy yourself a Picasso? Then grab your crayons, download the Dinosaur Coloring Sheet and submit your masterpiece by Feb. 5, 2016. Aquarium staff will select the winning color scheme to be unveiled in March. The winner will also receive 4 general admission tickets to the Aquarium.

Submit completed coloring sheets by email with the subject line of “Coloring Contest” to the Aquarium at [email protected] or mail to N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher, 900 Loggerhead Road, Kure Beach, N.C. 28449. All entries must be received by February 5, 2016. See complete Coloring Contest Rules here.
