Aquarium treats Moms on Mother's Day
April 20, 2016
The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher helps share the love this Mother’s Day.
Aquarium admission is free for all mothers on Sunday, May 8. Mothers are also welcome to experience the splendor of the Butterfly Bungalow at no cost. Share magical moments when hundreds of free-flying butterflies flutter through the air. You can also create memories strolling through the gardens and meet the mother of all dinosaurs, a giant T-Rex, along with other prehistoric creatures in the new “DINOSAURS!” exhibit.
Those wishing to treat mom extra special may reserve space at the Mother’s Day Brunch and take-home a craft. The buffet menu, catered by Bon Appetit, includes meat-lovers quiche, mini fruit kabobs, cashew-encrusted chicken fingers and pasta primavera. Cost for the brunch is $24 per adult, $22 for children 3-12, $20 for mothers, $5 for two-year-olds, and free for children one and younger. Mothers and N.C. Aquarium Society members are $20. Reservations are required for the brunch, scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Space is limited. Click here for more information and registration.
