LAST CHANCE TO SEE BUTTERFLIES
August 31, 2016
Only a few short weeks remain to visit the “Butterfly Bungalow” at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Tickets to see hundreds of free-flying butterflies will be available only until October 16, 2016.
Since the experience opened this spring, thousands of butterflies from all over the world have completed metamorphosis at the Aquarium and delighted guests with colorful fluttering wings and feather-light landings on flowers, arms and the occasional head. “Lorikeet Landing,” featuring colorful, small birds, will return to the space in 2017 continuing to tell the conservation story of pollinators the Aquarium began sharing in 2014, through temporary, rotating exhibits.
Butterfly Bungalow is open 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., weather permitting. Tickets are $3 per person and does not include general Aquarium admission.
