Home-School Program at Aquarium
March 24, 2017
Join the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher for a spring home-school program on pollinators on Friday, May 5th from 9 a.m.-noon. This program, in partnership with Airlie Gardens, is the Aquarium’s first home-school session and was developed specifically with home-school families in mind.
The program focuses on the importance of pollinators with hands-on activities, a walk through the Aquarium’s outdoor gardens and a visit to Lorikeet Landing, the Aquarium’s seasonal exhibit featuring free-flying tropical birds. Environment and Marine educators will lead the program.
This program is a preview for a home-school series to be offered this fall at the Aquarium. The pollinator program is for N.C. home schools only. Students and staff (a maximum of 2 parents per family) receive free Aquarium admission. There is a $10 fee per student. Parents and children 2 years old and younger do not pay a program fee. Pre-registration is required.
