Sleeping with the Fishes

 

Spend a night with the fish at the Aquarium. Participants will learn about reptiles, sharks and will make their very own Gyotaku T-shirt. Sleep in front of our 235,000-gallon
Cape Fear Shoals tank as sharks, eels, and a sea turtle swim close by.

 

Eat breakfast and tour the Aquarium before it is open to the public. Snacks, craft supplies, and breakfast are provided.


Minimum number of participants: 10
Maximum number of participants: 30
Cost: $45.00 per participant with all food and snacks included.

Reptiles from the Cape Fear
Learn about the habits and habitats of various reptiles of the Cape Fear Region with this live animal presentation. Alligators, turtles, or snakes will be highlighted.

Learn interesting facts about aquatic animals at sleep with the fishes.

 

Shark Attack!

 

Participants express their creativity at the sleeping with the fishes program

Sharks Inside and Out
Participants will learn the characteristics of sharks in this interactive presentation on shark anatomy and behavior. Discover how sharks swim, why they have no bones, and how they replace their teeth.

Gyotaku
Learn Gyotaku, the ancient art form of Japanese fish printing. Discover the history behind this craft, and make a Gyotaku T-shirt to take home.
