5K Race for the Planet

8 a.m. Sunday, April 22

The 5K Race for the Planet welcomes racers of all skill levels and starts and ends at the Aquarium. The flat, mostly asphalt course runs through scenic Fort Fisher with amazing views of the ocean, maritime forest and historic Fort Fisher Civil War site. Our goal for this race is to plant the seed for eco-conscious living and raise funds for the Aquarium’s educational programs and green initiatives. On the day of the race, bring your old electronics and unwanted paint to the Aquarium to dispose of in a way healthy for the planet. 

Mother's Day Breakfast

8-9 a.m. May 13
Make mom’s day extra special.Treat her to a Mother’s Day Breakfast, a garden tour, pollinator program and a visit to the Butterfly Bungalow with hundreds of flying beauties. Reservations are required; scheduled for 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Space is limited. Aquarium admission is included.

 

 

 

EnDANGERED SPECIES DAY

10 A.M. TO 4 P.M.
SATURDAY, MAY 19

Celebrate biodiversity and  help us save species as we take the Endangered Species Day celebration into the weekend. Engaging programs and hands-on activities throughout the Aquarium will highlight protected species and how our actions matter. Guests can play games and learn more about how aquariums and zoos help save animals from extinction. Animal talks, dive programs and activities free with Aquarium admission.
