Our Living Treasures

Help support all three N.C. Aquariums and Jennette's Pier by purchasing an Angler's Club tile. These red, fish-shaped Corian tiles are embedded in Pier decking boards in premium locations underneath the shade pavilions. The N. C. Aquarium Society uses the proceeds from Angler's Club tiles to help the Aquariums achieve their mission and enhance our Living Treasures.

inspire. appreciate. conserve.

In support of our mission, Jennette’s Pier incorporates conservation principles into daily activities and long-term initiatives. Current areas of focus include promotion of ethical angling, proper catch and release techniques and reduction of waste by recycling.  As an accredited member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and a partner in the Loggerhead Marinelife Center’s Responsible Pier Initiative, staff works diligently to conserve and help protect the recreational fishery, sea turtles, marine mammals and shore birds for future generations. Our platinum LEED certified facility saves money and resources, has a positive impact on visitors and demonstrates renewable energy technology as reflected in our:
