EXPLORE PINE KNOLL SHORES

Plan your visit

From the mountains to the sea… Feel the spray of a mountain waterfall. Watch river otters play. Touch a stingray. Look a shark in the eye. Explore shipwrecks — without getting wet. See a rare white sea turtle. Thousands of aquatic animals take you on a journey from the state’s grand peaks to the open Atlantic, much as a raindrop makes its way to the ocean. See Plan Your Visit for more on these activities and other family fun at one of the coast’s most popular attractions.

FIND OUT ABOUT OUR CONSERVATION PROGRAMS

The long-term health and sustainability of animals in the wild and in our care is a top priority for the North Carolina Aquariums. Through mission-based initiatives and daily efforts, all our team members are dedicated to responsible conservation. Current areas of focus include threatened and endangered species of amphibians, sea turtles and sharks. In addition, as an accredited-member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and a partner in SAFE: Saving Animals From Extinction, we work diligently to keep the most vulnerable animals from disappearing and protect them for future generations.
