Aquarium Memorial Garden

The new Aquarium Memorial Garden at the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores offers a special way to remember loved ones. A footpath meandering through maritime forest by the water’s edge provides a serene setting for engraved stepping stones, elegant wooden benches and charming bronze sculptures of animals.

The bronze otter, ibis, bull frog and blue crab are by David Turner Sculptures, creator of the bronze spadefish that mark the entrances to all three North Carolina Aquariums.

The Aquarium Memorial Garden opens on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25. Donations to dedicate stones, benches and sculptures in the garden benefit Aquarium programs and exhibits.
