Barrier Island Exploration

Trek the maritime forest, the salt marsh, and the shallow waters of Bogue Sound to learn about the fascinating creatures that live in these vital habitats. Ages 6 and up. $5

Surf Fishing or Pier Fishing

Learn to catch the big ones from the surf or from the pier. Participants are instructed in the basics and then get hands-on experience, with all equipment and bait provided. Ages 8 and up. $15

Coastal Canoe and Kayak Explorations

Plan a kayak and or canoe outing with the Aquarium. Beginner and advanced programs available in secluded locations such as:

• Roosevelt Natural Area

• Cape Lookout National Seashore

• Rachel Carson Estuarine Research Reserve
