Welcome to the North Carolina Aquarium Classroom

Plan an unforgettable field trip to the North Carolina Aquarium at Pine Knoll Shores . Your students will dive into the world of wonder and water in our recently expanded facility, with a wide array of educational exhibits and programs.

 

Take your class on a journey “from North Carolina ’s mountains to the sea.” The new Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals from across the state. In our galleries, you will find a mountain waterfall and trout pool, a cypress swamp, river otters, jellyfish and our Living Shipwreck exhibit with over 300,000 gallons of water, big sharks and an ocean of fishes. Students will enjoy the two hands-on touch tanks. Our beautiful new auditorium seats 150 for live animal presentations and other programs.

Reservations are required for school groups . Call early – the Aquarium is a popular destination and reservations are on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

Children and teachers in registered North Carolina school groups are admitted at no charge at the time of the visit. T he admission fee for parent chaperones is $4 per person.

 

The Aquarium also can come to your school through exciting new Outreach Programs, which can be customized for your teaching goals.
