Coastal Freshwaters – Venture into the waters of coastal ponds, lakes and rivers for an intimate view of freshwater fish, amphibians and reptiles . . . including our venomous snakes!
Wetlands on the Edge – Experience the feel of North Carolina’s important wetlands, where you’ll meet otters, alligators, turtles, fish and a variety of native plants. 



turtleSea Turtle Rescue – Children of all ages diagnose and treat a replica of an injured sea turtle before releasing it back into the sea. A once in a lifetime experience!
Marine Communities – Journey from inshore grass flats to the offshore Labrador Current. Seahorses, eels, lobsters and an amazing array of fish are on exhibit.
Close Encounters – Get your hands wet and touch local species of stingrays, sharks, sea stars and other animals native to North Carolina waters.
Open Ocean – Dive deep into the 285,000-gallon Graveyard of the Atlantic exhibit, housing the largest collection of sharks in North Carolina. Sand tiger, sandbar, and nurse sharks swim alongside other fish, as they glide through the nooks and crannies of a replica of the USS Monitor shipwreck.
Sea Turtle Assistance & Rehabilitation (STAR) Center – Witness staff and volunteers complete daily tasks to help rehabilitate sick and injured sea turtles. Hear the stories of our various patients and what treatment is being done to achieve our goal of returning them to the wild.
