Sleeping with the Sharks

Looking for a one-of-a-kind experience for your group? Sign on for an exciting sleepover at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island! Your group will be talking about this special after-hours adventure for months. Groups bed down in front of the 285,000-gallon Graveyard of the Atlantic exhibit, as sharks and colorful fishes swim close by. The overnight experience is for private groups only, and participants must be ages 6 and older. A nonrefundable $50 deposit is required.

Typical Itinerary:

6:30 p.m. Arrival and welcome
7 p.m. Exclusive self-guided tour
8 p.m. Program – Your choice
9 p.m. Snack (provided by Aquarium)
9:30 p.m. Program – Your choice
10:30 p.m. Unwind with video or story
11 p.m. Lights out
7 a.m. Wake up, get dressed and pack up
7:30 a.m. Light breakfast (provided by Aquarium)
8 a.m. Departure

8 and 9:30 p.m. Program Choices

Choose from: turtles, alligators, snakes, sharks,
touch tank talk, deep sea, “Ocean Jeopardy” game,
night hike, gyotaku (fish printing)

Fee: $35 per Person
A minimum of 12 participants is required, or $420, to hold your overnight reservation.
