During the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day), the Aquarium education team is proud to present specialty theme weeks! These theme weeks are centered on specific ocean topics or animals, and include craft tables, hands-on activities, and live animal encounters. Programming is held Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

Theme week topics change from summer to summer, but one consistent theme week is our Shark Week!  Each summer month has a theme week.

Summer 2009 Theme Weeks
Ocean Week June 15-19
Shark Week July 27-July 31 with special guest George Powell Jr. (amateur paleontologist)
Reptile Week Aug. 10-14    with special guest Bruce Shwedick and Banana Boy!
