The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island offers many special education opportunities to enhance your visit. These interactive programs are for small groups, where visitors can gain a more personalized and in-depth look at the topics at hand. Some of these adventures take place right at the Aquarium, while others will take you off site for hands-on activities in the field.
Special Activity Programs include behind the scenes tours, animal feeding programs, summer camps, day camps, craft classes, fishing programs, cooking demonstrations, children’s programs, birthday parties, overnight experiences, Boy and Girls Scout programs, and many others!
These programs are offered year round or seasonally for our visitors, and most of these opportunities can be scheduled for private groups, such as School Groups, Scouts, Church Groups, and Private Family Groups. All Special Activity Programs do require advance registration and there are fees for these activities.
