All pre-registered North Carolina school groups receive free admission to the Aquarium. School personnel and bus drivers accompanying groups are admitted free. Chaperones and siblings are required to pay $4 each for entrance to the Aquarium. Upon arrival the Lead Teacher will make one payment for the group with a Check, Visa, MasterCard or Cash.

The Aquarium requires that groups register at least two weeks in advance. This allows the Aquarium to schedule group visits in a timely manner so students have a more enjoyable experience. In order to help with “crowd control” and to provide a more rewarding experience, visits are scheduled between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

With prior notice, a special marine life video, live animal program, field trip experience or other activity may be arranged. See school programs and special activities for more details.

Non-registered groups are charged the standard admission rate. If the building is filled to capacity, a non-registered “drop-in” group may be asked to wait outside until more space is available.
