The North Carolina Aquarium Society is the support organization for the three Aquariums. Established in 1986, it is dedicated to assisting these facilities in maintaining their high standards of exhibits, education and conservation programs.

A membership-based, non-profit organization, the Society raises funds for the Aquariums through private donations, corporate gifts and foundation grants.

Contributions to the Aquarium Society

are used to "Help fill the tanks".
