Virtual Mermaid Adventures
Looking for some mermaid adventures? Join us virtually as we talk with the Chesapeake Mermaid! Learn about her aquatic friends, and how she works to protect their home in the Chesapeake Bay. This is a three-program series each featuring interactive activities, bay creature sign language, storybooks and live animal cameos. All ages are welcome! Register for single programs or the entire series.

What's a shark fingerprint and how can it be used to protect these animals? Find out more in a virtual exploration of unique shark identification for sand tiger sharks in North Carolina and whale sharks in Mexico. Learn how the aquarium and the Vermilion Sea Institue are saving sharks in the wild and how you can help! Recommended for ages 7 and older.

Virtual Creature Feature
Watch and learn as an Aquarium educator shares more about the animals cared for by the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher. Discover how we help to save these species in the wild. Each week, a new topic will be discussed. Open to all audiences.

Go totally turtle with this exclusive look behind the scenes. Discover all we do to provide the best care for the turtles living at the Aquarium. Each tour includes several species from land to sea. Learn how our turtles serve as animal ambassadors teaching others about wild reptiles and how you can help to protect our shelled neighbors.
BEHIND THE SCENES: SAVING SPECIES at Fort Fisher
Go behind-the-scenes for an exclusive look at how the Aquarium helps save species. Learn about our sand tiger shark research, raising and releasing Carolina gopher frogs, growing corals, and larval fish. Recommended for ages 7 and up.

Accompany an Aquarium educator on a sneak peek behind the scenes of different areas in the Aquarium. Visitors will see the exhibits, the systems that keep them working, and see the Aquarium from a side normally only viewed by staff.

These private virtual cameos allow for only you and your group to ask questions from the comfort of your home or office while seeing select animal ambassadors who are ready for their close-ups!
