Staff and volunteers have a lot to celebrate these days — the birth of three otter pups, the summer tourism season and plans for renovation and expansion of the Aquarium. We welcomed Governor Roy Cooper and Department of Natural and Cultural Resources Secretary Reid Wilson who engaged and explored alongside hundreds of visitors on Wednesday, June 15. The Governor announced an additional $10 million in state funding to support a $30 million Aquarium expansion and renovation.
