Sea Dreams Art Exhibit Now Through April 4
FORT FISHER, N.C. – Young people dream big, especially when it comes to exploring the theme of “Art Sustains,” an art challenge hosted by Dreams Center for Art Education, a local non-profit committed to assuring every child has the right to creative self-expression. The Sea Dreams exhibit runs through April 4 at the North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
The gallery wall featuring the creative work of the students is right around the corner from the Aquarium’s Shadows on the Sand habitat. With their reservation, visitors have an opportunity to experience art with an important message about conservation and sustainability.
“We appreciate the opportunity to showcase the work of these local youth and hope that their message resonates with our visitors. It brings together two important priorities of the Aquarium – conservation of our natural resources and accessibility to the beauty of our environment for everyone,” said Hap Fatzinger, director, North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher.
Established in 1997, DREAMS of Wilmington is a youth development organization that is dedicated to creating a culture of confidence for youth and teens, through equitable access to arts education, supported by the values of respect, family, and community.
