Yoga at the Aquarium
8 -9 a.m.
Tuesdays, Jan. 15 & 29, Feb. 12 & 26
Find your bliss during the Aquarium's yoga hour. Engage and rejuvenate as a professional instructor leads students through meditation, breathing exercises and foundational postures in a tranquil "underwater" setting. The class is suitable for all levels and modifications will be offered. Preregistration required.
March 1-3 and 8-10
The world-famous Weeki Wachee Mermaids enchant guests swimming and twirling alongside sharks, rays, schooling fish and a green sea turtle named Shelldon.
Aquarium admission on these dates includes:
Swimming mermaid once per hour 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
Meet a mermaid on dry land 9:30 a.m.- 4:45 p.m.
Mermaid-themed activities including a scavenger hunt, photo opportunities and autographs.
Mermaid swims and meet and greet are included in general Aquarium admission that may be purchased at the door or in advance. (Dive times are subject to change without notice.) Special programming requires additional ticketing (see below).
Mermaid Paint Night
6-8:30 p.m. Fridays, March 1 and 8
Includes professional instruction, take-home canvas, mermaid meet and greet and swim; preregistration required.
8 a.m.-9:30 a.m. March 1, 2, 3

Includes exclusive viewing of mermaid swim and pre-opening meet and greet with a mermaid, mermaid and sea turtle presentation, mermaid-themed donuts are an added treat and preregistration required.
Under the Sea AquaCamps

Sundays, March 3 and 10
For children ages 5-12, crafts, activities, live animals, snack and mermaid photo opportunity; preregistration required.
Children’s Discovery Time
10:30 a.m. Fridays, March 1 and 8
2:30 p.m. Friday, March 1
Mermaid-themed; recommended for younger guests aged 3-5; preregistration required.
Due to the expected High visitation during this event, Visitors are strongly encouraged to use umbrella strollers only.
5K Race for the Planet
8 a.m. Sunday, April 28
The 5K Race for the Planet welcomes racers of all skill levels and starts and ends at the Aquarium. The flat, mostly asphalt course runs through scenic Fort Fisher with amazing views of the ocean, maritime forest and historic Fort Fisher Civil War site. Our goal for this race is to plant the seed for eco-conscious living.
