Sea turtles released back to ocean at Ocracoke Island

Flanked by a crowd of more than 250 well-wishers, twelve sea turtles returned to the ocean on Ocracoke Island Wednesday. The sea turtles - five loggerheads, four green and three Kemp’s ridley - were all treated at the Sea Turtle Assistance and Rehabilitation (STAR) Center at the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island.
