Aquarium Holds "Ton of Love" Food Drive

The North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island seeks community support in reaching the goal of a "Ton of Love" by donating food for those in need. The aquarium is hoping to collect one ton of food by Valentine’s Day, February 14, to support the Roanoke Island Food Pantry.

The pantry is in need of restocking their shelves this year not only following the holidays, but also to continue their efforts in supporting community members during the pandemic.

Requested items include:

  • cans of soup or stew
  • canned fruit
  • canned meats (tuna or salmon)
  • peanut butter
  • rice and beans
  • pasta
  • coffee and tea bags
  • hygiene products like toothpaste and shampoo

Items may be delivered to the aquarium’s admissions windows during public hours. Show a "Ton of Love" by bringing donations to the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island!
